Finally it is warm enough to start using the grill!  I just love when the seasons change into new food opportunities…Love comfort food, but I am so ready to start with fresh ingredients that spring and summer offer.   I am very excited to be using the grill for the first time this year.  We kicked our grilling this year with plain old steak and potatoes!  Nice juicy Sirloin, cooked medium rare and a side of grilled red potatoes!  Yummy!

I am going to give you some old Italian recipe terms that I don’t often use.  You try to get a recipe from an old Italian lady, this is what you will have:  A bit of Italian Seasoning, A Shake of Rosemary,  Some Paprika,  A Good Amount of Onion Powder and Garlic Powder, and A Pinch of Salt and Pepper.

Drizzle in Some olive oil.

Microwave potatoes for about 10 minutes or until just soft.  Cut in half and dip into herb and olive oil mixture.

Place on hot grill, and cook until browned and crispy.  Turn on a 45 degree angle and cook again until browned.  Serve.  Enjoy<3


  1. Love the measurements! My grandmother did the same thing when she was baking. The potatoes sound great and I’m going to make then tonight with grilled lemon chicken…Florida…where grilling year around is the law!
