These bars are so easy to make and they don’t have a long list of preservatives and additives.  I feel much better knowing that I am eating and serving my family healthy ingredients and nothing more.  They are a big hit, I have made three batches in one week. The Girls love to grab one, while running out the door.

 Banana Nut Bars

1 Cup Whole Grain Oats

1/3 Cup Spelt Flour

1/3  Cup Ground Organic Flaxseed

1 1/2 Cup Organic Date Pieces

1 Cup Unsweetened  Banana Chips

1 Cup Almonds- Crushed

3/4 Cup Honey

Preheat oven to 375 Degrees.

In a blender or food processor , blend honey and half of the dates (add a little water if too thick).  Mix all ingredients in a large bowl, make sure all is covered with honey mixture.   Line a 9×6 pan with parchment paper, greased with cooking spray.


Push mixture evenly into pan.  Bake for 15-20 minutes,  Let cool.  Cut into bars.  Enjoy!

Store in refrigerator.
