Christmas time is a very busy time for me, I host many parties, not to mention all the decorating, cooking, shopping, cleaning, wrapping…etc. This year was one of the best Christmas seasons I have ever had. It all started with an invite to an old friend’s restaurant. www.xaviars.com/restaurants/restaurant-x/ I could not have imagined what an amazing evening I was going to experience when I replied, I would love to visit.
We were brought directly to our table which was waiting for us with a gift of holiday Chocolates and a glass of the tastiest prosecco! I look down at my table setting after a few minutes of taking in the beautiful surroundings, there sat a personalized menu, made just for me and my husband. I was overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness that was put into this dinner; I knew then, it was going to be a wonderful evening.
The first course is presented; it was absolutely beautiful, and amazingly delicious! You know that umm, roll your eyes in the back of your head…OMG, So Good, kind of delicious! As were each and every course that followed, equally Delicious!
Executive Chef James Kellyhttp://www.lohud.com/article/20121209/LIFESTYLE01/312090017/Restaurants-We-Love-Restaurant-X-Bully-Boy-Bar-Congers, also took the time on a very busy night to come and visit our table many times throughout the evening. It was a treat to be able to visit with him as well as, tell him in person how much we were enjoying our evening and his incredible cuisine!
Dessert was now served and we were overwhelmed again by the presentation and the flavor of each and every one! Yes, all 6 or 7 of them! Each decorated in the holiday theme, it was incredible! The sugar dome over the petit fours and chocolate covered strawberries were the ending to an evening that lasted hours and added 12 pounds…It was a restaurant experience like no other, and one I will never forget.
Our pre holiday dinner brought my Christmas season in like no other year! A sincere Thank You to Executive Chef James Kelly!
We often do not take the time to treat ourselves, especially during the busy holiday’s. The special dinner made me realize to take the time to relax and enjoy what the season was really about, and think of old friends.
So my New Year’s Resolution is to take time to Enjoy! Hard one right! I recommend to everyone to make the same resolution! Start with a trip to Restaurant Xhttp://www.xaviars.com/restaurants/restaurant-x/ and tell Executive Chef James Kelly ,http://www.lohud.com/article/20121209/LIFESTYLE01/312090017/Restaurants-We-Love-Restaurant-X-Bully-Boy-Bar-Congers hello from Bella and Enjoy!
