A special treat from the south   ~  Vidalia Onions!

I enjoyed every bite of this pork chop, so much so, this will be the only way I eat a chop from now on, with VIDALIA Onions and my family agrees!  Easy and Delicious!!!

Caramelized Cream Garlic Pork Chops

2 Tablespoons Butter

4 Vidalia Onions-Sliced

6 Cloves Garlic-Chopped

2 Apples – Diced

1 Cup Heavy Cream

1 Sprig Fresh Thyme Leaves

Salt and Pepper to Taste

4 – 1 Inch Thick Pork Chops – Bone In

2 Cups Seasoned Bread Crumbs

2 Eggs

1/4 Cup Milk

Olive Oil For Frying

In a large skillet, with butter, on medium low heat, cook onions, garlic and apples until you have reached a golden brown color.  Stir in cream and season with salt, pepper and thyme.  Let simmer for about 4-5 minutes to allow flavors to combined and sauce to thicken.

Meanwhile; place bread crumbs in a shallow bowl.  Mix eggs and milk together in a separate shallow dish or bowl.  Dip chops into egg mixture and coat with breadcrumbs.

In a large skillet with oil on medium heat, fry pork chops on both sides for about 8 minutes on each side or until cooked through.  Drain chops on paper towel.

Place pork chops on serving dish and top with garlic mixture and serve.  Enjoy!
