This is a remix recipe of linguine and claim sauce and clams casino.  When I was coming up with this recipe I knew it was going to be tasty, and I have to say it is!  This is an outrageous recipe with amazing flavor!  It blows the ordinary recipes out of the recipe box!!!

1 Pound Linguine

6 Slices of Bacon

1/4 Cup Olive Oil

2 Tablespoon Butter

1 Onion-Diced

4 Clove Garlic-Diced

1/4 Cup Roasted Red Peppers – Chopped

1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning

1 Teaspoon Basil

Pinch Red Pepper Flakes

1/3 Cup White Wine

¼ Cup low Sodium Chicken Broth

¼ Cup Italian Style Bread Crumbs

2-6.5 Ounce Can Clams-or Thoroughly Washed Fresh Clams

Salt and Pepper to Taste

Pecorino Romano Cheese-Grated

In large pot with salted boiling water, cook pasta according to package directions.

Meanwhile; diced bacon then fry in large skillet until crispy then drain bacon on paper towel and set aside.

In same pan with bacon fat removed, add olive oil and butter.  Sauté onion, garlic, red pepper, Italian seasoning, basil and red pepper flakes until onions are soft.  Then add in wine and broth then simmer for about 5-7 minutes to reduce slightly and wine is cooked off.   Stir in bread crumbs and simmer for another 10 minutes. Stir in claim and reserved bacon and continue to cook for a couple more minutes.  If using fresh clams, cook until clams just open.

Drain pasta, and pour into serving dish, pour casino clam sauce over pasta.   Sprinkle with the desired amount of pecorino romano cheese.  Serve.  Enjoy<3
